On January 5, 1922 Jung’s soul said that he should not break up their marriage; no one should supplant the soul in their relationship. This meant that he should let Toni Wolff go. He had a dream that he interpreted as being about his relationship with EMma Jung and Toni Wolff. He came to realize that the anima had fallen asleep. Here there is a discussion of how Toni Wolff saw her relationship with Jung. She did not see their relationship as a marriage but as an individual relationship. She was dependent upon him and was resentful of his work. Jung did recognize that she was an important part of his thinking.
