In 1928 Richard Wilhelm sent Jung a copy of The Secret of the Golden Flower and asked him to comment on it. This book allowed Jung to see a connection between European unconsciousness and Eastern eschatology. This becam e amajor theme of Jung's work in the 1930's. He now found a new way to speak about his discoveries. From a confrontation with his soul Jung turned to a confrontation with the world. His writing in the Black Books stopped.
