Jung’s soul leads him into a desert, a wasteland. Jung realizes that his self is a place unwatered and unattended. His journey leads away from men and events. Is it time to create a garden for himself?  He asks his soul and is told to wait. He thinks of Christianity and how those ancients would go into the desert.  They wrestled with the devil, he now wrestles with waiting.
