The Durants wrote an 11 volume historical study of civilization. The writing began in 1935 with Our Oriental Heritage. It took until 1953 to arrive at the Renaissance. Should we consider the date of publication in our reading of these volumes?
It does seem to be a good foundation for understanding western civilization and Carl Jung. Should we also consider the series known as "The Great Books"?
