“The main content of Jung’s private library was contemporary literature of the 19th and 20th century, mainly about medicine, psychiatry, psychology and philosophy. Additionally there are a great number of books on antique cultures, gnosis, christian symbols, eastern religion, ethnology and occultism. The library also contains a collection of about 300 rare books (printed before 1800) on alchemy, theurgy and kabbala, as well as antique literature on dreams, writings of church fathers and of the latin and greek classic.”

Enter Philemon {here Volume I moves to what is in Volume III or December 30,1913 to January 14,1914} Philemon is the new dialogue companion who represents an Egyptian-Gnostic-Helenistic point of view.  Here is found the basis for the second book of Liber Novus, Liber Secundus {going forward to Volume IV and April 19. After that is found the foundation for the third book Scrutinies.  Here Jung achieves self acceptance. At this time there was a break with the Freudian method of understanding dreams. Dreams should be interpreted not only in retrospect but as they are related to the future. 
Jung has a period where he is primarily a theapist. When WWI began Jung realized that his dreams were from the collective unconsciousness. This concept needed future research; there are 12 fantasies that are the basis of this study.
