“The main content of Jung’s private library was contemporary literature of the 19th and 20th century, mainly about medicine, psychiatry, psychology and philosophy. Additionally there are a great number of books on antique cultures, gnosis, christian symbols, eastern religion, ethnology and occultism. The library also contains a collection of about 300 rare books (printed before 1800) on alchemy, theurgy and kabbala, as well as antique literature on dreams, writings of church fathers and of the latin and greek classic.”

15 XII 13 - Jung is hesitant about himself and the experience to come. 16 XII 13 - a dialogue with his soul is recorded. Jung is on a desert path; attacked by magical beings his form is changed into a monstrous animal.Jung inquires of the soul as to how he can sink into the depths. Where is the soul? Jungs asks if he is a drunkard who is staggering. Soul: “My path is light”Jung: Is your light what men call darkness?Soul: “My light is not of this world”Jung: I don't know another world.Soul: Should it not exist because you do not know of   it?Jung: What of our knowledge? Security? Ground, light? If it is not knowledge what is it? No speech or words? Soul: No words eitherJung: Am I hard of hearing? Do I misunderstand?
Jung is in a state of confusion and doubt about what he is saying and of he can trust the Soul.
